Pope, Masonry & The Arch Of Freemasonry. Temporal & Spiritual Powers.

Here's alot of masonic symbolism and the perhaps the true origin of the Papal Key symbol and its connection with the skull and crossbones symbol.

Like 95% of all symbolism is astronomical in origin, I see it from that angle because I believe thats the right angle to begin with.



















Lets Begin In Ancient Egypt


This is how they typically buried their mummies, with the arms crossed:




The cross in its basic symbolism is the equinoctial cross. They had 12 steps in the mummification process, alluding to the 12 signs of the zodiac. We must understand how important the heaven and the sun's yearly cycle was to them, and how they transferred that knowledge of the "above" to explain the world "below".


First we need to know abit about some esoteric Freemasonry symbolism. Freemasonry - the Blue Lodge (first 3 degrees) - has 2 doctrines:

1. There is only one supreme nameless creator being, the "grand architecht of the universe"

2. The soul of the human being is immortal and survives the grave


This is clearly explained and layed out in 32nd degree Freemason, Robert H. Brown's book, "Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy" from 1882. For example, in a section explaining the Egyptian tau cross, p.215, he quotes it directly from a masonic lecture:


"The tau cross, is as has been shown, an ancient symbol of Egypt denoting salvation and eternal life. The triple tau, being a combination of the tau cross three times repeated, teaches us that "we have an immortal part within us that shall survive the grave, and which shall never, never, NEVER die"


This is the two ancient doctrines of the mystery schools. The population was to get the exoteric version with the superstitious gods, based on the heavenly bodies, and the initiated learned thru the degrees the esoteric version, that "there is only one supreme being", and the dieties are but the planets etc. And that "the soul is immortal."

In this tv-program about Freemasonry, we learn about the grip of the 3rd degree, a grip called the "Lion's Paw", at 12mins54secs:




It also shows the 3rd degree of Freemasonry, where the initiate will play Hiram Abiff (the sun) who's slain by three ruffians (October, November, December or Saggitarius, Capricorn, Aquarius)

While he's buried, 12 masons go searching for him (the 12 months/zodiacs) and the 3 masons going West find him (January/Pisces, February/Aries, March/Taurus)

They then try to resurrect him 3 times (April/Gemini, May/Cancer, June/Leo).

They try with the two first grips (Gemini and Cancer) but only succeed the 3rd time, raising him from the dead to full upright position with the special grip, the "Lion's Paw" grip.

This is of course an allusion to the sun being finally restored to full glory at summer solstice, June 21st, the sun in the sign of Leo the Lion, the strongest sign whith its strenght finally resurrects the sun/Hiram Abiff, role-played by the initiate.


This shows alot about how much they care about the different stages of the sun, the yearly cycle. And the veneretaion of the sun's yearly revival. At winter he's dead. But then at vernal equinox he suddenly begins to show signs of life, he is resurrected from the dead, once again, the eternal life of the sun bringing eternal life to the world. Therefore the allusion to the immortality of the soul of man, as above so below.

The vernal equinox was the most venerated, thats when you could feel the suns revival and nature beginning to spring back to life. The sun had therefore passed from death to life.


On page 98 in Brown's book, we find this ancient drawing from a king's sarcophagus. It shows his initiation into the degrees of the Mystery School of Isis:







The initiate, the king, is playing Osiris, the sun. He's the one lying "dead" on the floor. Obviously what we see is Leo gripping him to raise him to life at summer solstice, with the "Lion's Paw". The lion getting the signal from Isis at left (what would be the Grand Master in Freemasonry's ritual)


Today at summer solstice the sun is in the sign Gemini, but Freemasonry hasnt changed its ancient ritual over the many thousands of years from Egypt to the present.


Actually, Brown shows that Freemasonry is built wholly on the particular Greek Mystery School of Bacchus (IHS) which was of course built on the Egyptian ones, like all the Mystery Schools. The Bacchus mystery school was continued as the Essenes cult, and Bacchus was the sun hero who's almost exactly like Jesus, turns water into wine etc.

What we will notice on the picture is the cross on the initiate playing Osiris. That is the cross that represents Osiris.
This cross is the equinox, "The Great Celestial Cross".


The Egyptians had different names for the sun in its different stages:



The sun was called "Atum" at dusk, "Osiris" at night, "Khepri" at dawn and "Re" at noon.


Osiris was the sun when it was DEAD. That is either at night or at winter. Therefore, Osiris became the judge of the Netherworld, and after you died and was buried, you'd have to face Osiris to be judged. He was infact the gatekeeper to the other realm, the realm of the dead.


So, the cross represents the equinox.












This was a very special time when the sun either came back to life, or passed away. Which is where we get the term "to pass away". Over the equator to the other realm. Or the Hebrew's "passover" at vernal equinox, celebrating spring and "springing to life" of the 12 tribes out of Egypt:


As described in the Book of Exodus, Passover marks the "birth" of the Children of Israel



1. The equinoxes are the points where the sun crosses over equator to the other realm. Either from death to life, or from life to death.


2. The equinox thus represents the gateway. It was also represented in the "Sun gate" or "Sun door", and when you pass through that door, you go to the "beyond", the realm of the spirits, the "heavens" etc.


That is, the two pillar's most ancient and basic function was to mark respectively summer and winter solstice, to secretly function as a calendar. When they built their suntemples - facing east - they first placed a spot on the floor. This is called the "blazing star" in Freemasonry, and is found in the chequered floor of their temples, a pentagram. They would stand on the spot, the "blazing star", and at summer solstice the would mark a place for the one pillar/obelisk outside the temple exactly in line with the rising sun, then do the same at exactly winter solstice.

This means, whenever:

The sun rises in line with the north-east pillar = its the day of summer solstice. And the south-east pillar = winter solstice.

Thats why, as As Brown explains, still to this day, the masonic laying of the cornerstone is a sacred ritual, and it must for this reason be the north-east cornerstone layed first, for summer solstice.

Also, they would place mosaic chequered patterns on the floor of the temples to make it easier to measure the shadow and thus the time of the year.


The Royal Arch of Freemasonry - The Pillars

Come on we have all seen it right? These two pillars came to represent the "doorway of the sun". The "sun door".

"The Royal Arch of Freemasonry" : means the heavenly sphere from vernal to autumnal equinox. That is spring and summer, these seven signs of the zodiac in the part of the year where the sun is alive and brings life, fruit, light and happiness. From Taurus to Scorpio. Or, as the masonic tradition was further evolved a couple of thousands of years after the high epoch of Egypt, the sun had moved via the prescession of equinoxes, one sign. Which is also the astrological positions used today (altho it has moved one sign further the last 2000 years)

Therefore the Royal Arch is actually from Aries to Libra, and the strongest point, summer solstice, the "Keystone", is therefore Cancer, summer solstice at around 0AD.

Notice how the moon is the one pillar and the sun the other which is how they often had it in Egypt according to ancient scriptures. They had different meanings for these solstice pillars, one of them of course Saturn (winter solstice) and the Sun (summer solstice) the two phallic archtypes.



These 3 points of the year, vernal equinox, summer solstice and autumnal equinox represented respectively beauty (spring, risen sun) strength (summer, strong live sun) and wisdom (old, wise sun) Which is what they tell masons the three candles represent that is found in every masonic lodge around the altar:






It is of course these three points of the year from the Royal Arch.



This arch-doorway on the two solstice pillars represents the "sun door of immortality", the door to the beyond to the other realm and you'll always see the keystone as a speciel stone. Like the Arch of Triumph in Paris:





This arch, "sun door", is also in the intersection of 12 roads for the 12 zodiacal signs:






When the sun rises exactly in the middle of this sun door, that means its equinox. The special point where the sun is "crucified" and passing over equator to the other realm. Therefore they used to put the winged sun where they now put the keystone, alluding to the sun passing over. Again, notice the 12 zodiacal zones:






And here we have the Pope passing through what the Vatican call the "Holy Door", to mark the so-called "Holy Year":





Very holy indeed? No, just the same ol' sun door to the other realm



It is the "Sun Door of Immortality", the eternal life of the sun. And when you go through it you go to the beyond. The beyond is eternity. The afterlife.


In Egypt, Osiris was the judge you would face before entering the afterlife, he was the gatekeeper. Thats why he is represented with the cross. Its the cross of the equinox. The place where the sun/you will pass over.

The symbol itself "X" clearly shows a line/path passing over a border, the apparant path of the sun passing over earths equator to the beyond.


The "X" is the doorway to and a symbol of the afterlife, and we can now understand why they typically layed the arms in a cross on the mummy to be buried. Some say that Freemasons sometimes do this aswell when their brethen are buried.


Osiris' symbol is therefore the cross, "X" the symbol of the afterlife. They called it the Netherworld, where the sun enters at winter or at night when dead. And the symbol of the gatekeeper of the Netherworld.

He is the supreme judge and gatekeeper. The pharaoh would often represent Osiris because he had the ultimate authority, the "keys to heaven and hell". Nobody would thus go to the Netherworld without going through pharoah. Just like "nobody" will go to heaven without going thru the Pope. This is a perverse twisting of what Our Lord Jesus Christ Said:

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.


All the dead are raised and set before the judgment seat of Christ!

And now we have a better understanding of the symbol of the skull and crossbones:






So the pharaoh would perform/show the cross of Osiris because he had the spiritual power of the gods:


























BUT - notice the two different rods: An emperors rod and a shepherds rod.
The emperors rod is pharaoh's TEMPORAL POWER.The shepherd's rod is his SPIRITUAL POWER.



Because we are the sheeple and he is our shephard, the ancient symbolism. "Pastor" even means "shepherd".




































Now we can collect the pieces of the Papal keys. The silver one is the temporal power of the earth, the golden one the spiritual power of heaven.







It is simply the same old solar concept, the keys to heaven and hell symbolised in the "Great Celestial Cross", the equinoctial cross, the gateway to the beyond that the Pope claims to keep. He holds the power of Osiris, the gatekeeper of the beyond. No-one will go to heaven unless they go thru the Cardinals (from latin "cardo", "hinges") and the Pope (door) who holds the keys. The so-called "keys of St. Peter".

And they have chosen to put the mitre on top of the cross in the Papal Keys insignia. This is where I would argue that its not a pure coincidence of resemblance to the skull and crossbones symbol!
Especially not if the Jesuits used to fly these flags on their Black Ships in the 1600's and use them when initiating a priest into the 4th vow.

We can take it a step further here. Because, like I showed above, the Royal Arch was the two pillars, Boaz and Jachin, shown there with the sun and moon respectively. But that has changed. They have at some point replaced them with the globes of the earth and the heavens with the zodiacal belt:







Why? Isnt this the Pope's temporal and spiritual power?



As we know, these two pillars represent the summer and winter solstices. And the middle is the equinoxes, the "beyond", the "X-factor" you might say. The sun will rise in the middle at both equinoxes, two times a year. Two "X"s.


























Is this also symbolised in the compass and square logo which crosses over?






Why do they cross on both sides. Is it the two equinoxes, the "beyond" between the two pillars (the "sun door")?










Solomons temple is also a masonic allusion to the sun's temple. And that is heaven. Thats why the temple was started being built at vernal equinox and ended at autumnal equinox and overall completely symbolises the universe in every way, according to the biblical description.


The masons call "the beyond" the "great celestial lodge". Heaven.

So here we have Solomons celestial temple represented between the pillars, as the equinoxes, the two crosses/gateways to the beyond from the compass and square:







We even have the vesica yoni first, another symbol for the gateway between the realms, with the masonic sculpture of the "weeping virgin" inside (aswell as the enerative principle below)


The Pope (or rather the Jesuits) want to rule from the rebuilt Solomons temple - his "church" - in Jerusalem. But Solomons temple is also a symbol of heaven ("the sun's temple") which means the Pope wants symbolically to be GOD in heaven ruling from Israel!

The two powers of the Pope, temporal and spiritual, earthly and heavenly, the two pillars of power that the Vatican is resting upon.

The pyramid with the eye. The New World Order? Solomons temple, the sun's/Pope's temple of heaven?

The proportions of the inside of the Great Pyramid (Kings Chamber) is infact the same proportions of the precisely described parts of the biblical Solomons temple!

1:2 proportions (double cube), the numbers 1-7 represented, Pythagoras incorporated etc.

In time, all the advanced scientific knowledge was concentrated and held within these mystery schools where priests and rulers were chosen from. Infact, if you wanted to learn any advanced practice like architecture or mathematics, you had to become initated in the degrees of some mystery school and learn about the universe. The "degrees" harnested all the intellegensia for themselves. They didnt have open universities for any ol' sheeple, like today.


The sun moves one degree pr. day, they said, and it doesnt move for 3 days at winter solstice which gives 362 degrees in the full yearly cycle. For the sake of the use of mathematics, a circle was given 360 degrees, the circle of the universe.

So today, we go to universe city - university - and get a degree. And upon graduation become a luminary - a planet. Saturn to be exact, the wise ELite. (EL = Saturn)


From the Osiris School of Egypt where Pythagoras went to become initiated, to the Bacchus IHS of Greece and to Rome's Sol Invictus, the Mithras version, where Constantine was the high-priest, representing Mithras on earth. But only the initiates could learn the "mysteries" of the Mithras religion. That he was the sun.

And this is actually an interesting mystery school in connection with the equinox symbolism.
Mithras was an aggressive god, slaying the bull (the age of Taurus) upon birth from the primordial rock/egg (mushroom/phoenix birth stage)





So the soldiers of the army of the Roman Empire practiced this mystery school with great joy and devotion whereever they went, it became a military mystery school, or "religion" as these Mysteries are called, where Constantine was the high-priest. It became outlawed to practice the Mithras mysteries when Christianity was made the empire's official religion. Much to the regret of the soldiers. The army leaders would initiate soldiers into the mysteries in 3 degrees at first, it was their religion at the time.

Here's the ruins of a Mithras mystery school temple some Roman army division built alongside Hadrians Wall across Britain from the 3rd century, I think it was:







Here's a reconstruction in some British museum: Notice the two torch-bearers. Those torch-bearers was part of Mithras symbolism, one torch pointing up, another down.







Notice here the sun and moon over the torch-bearers. Any connection to the two pillars supporting the "Royal Arch" of heaven? And more importantly, why are their legs always crossed?








Its the equinoxes of course. The one with the torch pointing up is vernal, the downwards is autumnal. The gateways between the realms, life and death.


Which is laid out here in this drawing of another temple, if one understands the astronomical key to these Mystery symbols:

Left side is spring and summer: Life realm of the sun, a.k.a. the Royal Arch.


With the two gateways between the realms, the two equinoxes. The legs crossed.

The cross is the equinox and 322 is March 22nd as we know, spring equinox.



I noticed something when speculating over the symbolism. Thinking freely here, if you take the two solstice pillars and put the two equinox crosses in between, in hieroglyphs, you get this symbol:

The two X's form the up/downward male/female symbol when you put them together.





Or like the Catholic "Auspice Maria" symbol: IXXI







You also get two Roman numerals with the hieroglyphical 2 solstices and equinoxes:

Again with "Solomons temple" in place of the "gateway" between the pillars. Of course, they always had two obelisks outside the Egyptian sun-temples.







Twin towers of WTC was obviously the two pillars. The heavenly one (spiritual) with the antenna maybe? They both went down. But what about Solomons temple? Well, what was the name of WTC7? Salomon Bros. building.


With regard to the Masonic "G"






The very symbol for the letter "G" can suggest an interesting thing. Gnosis ("knowledge") That is, the wise serpent of gnosis, like the Christian gnostics believed. That the serpent from the Tree of Knowledge (gnosis) IS Jesus - (which of course is untrue)








The Egyptians had their Uraues, it was a symbol for the Eye of Horus. The "standing" cobra placed in the forehead for the Eye of Knowledge:









Here's the point: In our alphabet (of course, has to be the "original" Roman font) the small letter 'g' IS a "standing" cobra, Uraeus?



Is the Masonic "G" also a serpent?


I believe its for God, Geometry and of course Generative principle in any case. Here, its clearly shown also for Generative principle, not just the "root of 2" geometry, but in many other ways:





Also, maybe they thought the compass represents the male, the "designer" of the new life, and the square is the female, the "builder", who builds the child.




































About the vatican symbol:














This is the Lemegeton of Bael. This ancient symbol (with others) was utilised into the practices for the evocation of demons. And the oldest demon is Baal.

From ancient Greek γοητεία (goēteia) means "witchcraft, jugglery"from γόης "sorceror, wizard".


The symbols of Goetia practices are intended to influence the mind (brain) and stimulate a corresponding effect upon the subconscious mind. It's incredible how frequently we look at a symbol so powerful and we don't know what it really means! To soon, dott. Tsushima.

Maybe another layer of the symbolism, a more "New Age" kinda thinking rather than popish authority I'd suspect. That is, the Generative principle, the two complimenting polarities united.


Temporal/spiritual: Male/female, micro-/macrocosm, intellect/spirit, sun/moon, fire/water, up/down etc.







Which is, in this line of thinking, exactly what 'leads' to the "beyond"/"heaven". By for example "death journey", spiritual death/rebirth, sex, crown chakra enlightenment, the "Holy Spirit" and so on.

Also represented by the hexagram/masonic logo/the equinox winged serpent sun/caduceus/Venus-Lucifer or indeed Jesus. Or of course the male/female-united hermaphroditic 'holy grail' mushroom, like the shamans used to take to visit the spirits and forefathers in the "beyond" and "train for death", see Pharmacratic Inquisition.






This here looks like the basic astrotheological 'Osirian judge/gatekeeper' authority symbolism:




The Judges. If you wanna 'pass on' to the next round, you must pass these three gatekeepers.






Also, the two phallics and the Venus in the middle. The 'Great Celestial Cross' is about 25 degrees, so this is how the Papal keys should 'properly' look:


















The Chancellor's emblem is the Isabella Cross, with Skull and Crossbones; it is worn on a black over white ribbon. The Cross is self-explanatory, while the Skull and Crossed Bones are symbolic of man's mortality. The Chancellor wears a black robe trimmed with white and a white cincture with silver fringe. He also wears a black mantle with white roll collar.

The Hexagram





Remember that this is also the twin phallic pillars of Boaz and Jachin but as triangles all linked to the Generative Principle. Boaz is the Male triangle (Up) whilst Jachin is the Female triangle (Down) in this case. Please remember that these pillars also symbolise Saturn/Venus, Horus/Set. Now do some homework on the Mesenti People of Africa later known as the Mesinu closely connected to Irish Druids and of course later Egypt. Remember Akhenaton's father was a Negroe and his mother was African.



It should be noted also that these pillars also symbolise Hermes and Aphrodite, creating the divine Hermaphrodite. Yes theres black faces all over the place and remember that Akhenaton was the one who was behind much of this defacing of monuments and texts.

Also the point was the triangles are there just to show the pillars in the hexagram, Air, fire = Male ----Earth, water = Female

Hermaphrodite

Whats interesting about the divine Hermaphrodite is that it's made up of Hermes and Ahprodite which in Sumer were known as ENKI and INANNA. Remember ENKI is supposedly the creator of the Adamic race and of great knowledge. Now remember how ENKI sent Earth and Water to help free INANNA from the Underworld? Theres your female Earth and Water symbols forming Venus. Note that INANNA is the Daughter of NANNA which is the Moon God, where we get the word nan or nanny from for grandparent. Remember how the Arabs and Islam are linked to the Moon and Venus.


What I will say is that people need to understand Mars more and notice how it's alchemy symbol for Iron is of Male also. Note how Venus has an alchemy symbol for Copper and is of female also. Now which Venus is made out of Copper? Yes Queen Semarisis known as 'The Statue of Liberty.' Now lets remember that Copper has an atomic number os 29 and is known as Cuprum, symbolised as Cu. Now Iron has an atomic number of 26 and is known as Ferrum, it's symbolised as Fe. Mars is known as red planet and the colour red is for Mars. We also known that Horus is symbolised by the red going back to the Mesenti people of Africa, whilst Set is blue, being the Moon. This is linked into the Hyskos bloodlines of Egypt where by Akhenaton is linked to, they follow the red and were known as the red men. So are these bloodlines linked to the Planet Mars originally? The only thing I couldn't understand about Star Wars the film was why Joseph Campbell chose to give Darth Vader a red light saber and yet Luke skywalker a blue saber? Seems reversed symbolism there as Darth was Set and should have had blue whilst Luke was Horus and should have been red. I thought that was very strange indeed. Please note that Eleven is the 5th smallest prime number.


Whats interesting is if we add up 26 with 29 from the atomic numbers of Copper and Iron we then get 55. This World is supposed to be the Fifth. Grab a phone you have and notice a dot impression on the 5th key. You have five senses. A five is written as a V in Roman Numberals one again linking to Venus which is also symbolised by the 5 pointed star. Venus is also the Root of 5 coming from the Root of two, the Square. It gets more interesting when we realise that in Quaternary, five means 11 whilst in Binary its 101. Also linking into the let E from the English and Cyrillic alphabets. There five vowels in the alphabet. Five is the holy number of Discordianism. Five is an atomic number for Boron. Remember how Psalms and the Torah are five books. Remember how the Islamics pray to NANNA five times daily? They also have five pillars and use protective five finger Khamsa's. Remember. Notice how the Olympics has five interlocking rings. Theres five Venusian oceans in this World. The Order of the Rosy cross love roses and they have five petals. The 5th smallest prime number is eleven. The Hierophant is the fifth card of the Divination art, the Tarot. Finally of course, 55 is divisable by the 11 or ele-ven of Saturn and Venus, again the twin phallic pillars of Jachin and Boaz. What comes around, goes around.

A little history of the origins of the Moon & Venus






it's interesting when we get into this subject of the satellite Moon and Planet Venus. The Moon God, Nanna was the daughter of Enlil and Ningal. She was the granddaugther of ENKI and Ningikurga. She had three brothers called utu also known as Nergal. Then there was Ninazu and Ningiszida. Nanna has a large beard and this seems to be where the Moslems get their beard fascination from. The number thirty was associated with Nanna and remember how the Lunar calendar was made up of mo(o)nths with thirty day periods.

It's funny (and perhaps fitting)- Tolkien (lord of the rings) wrote his book two hundred years later than this masonic royal arch tracing board.... and quite obviously tolkiens is the OLDER of the two..

In the Middle earth mythos the doors to moria were magical doors that were made by the Elves to apper as a plain carving on the mountain face. Inhabited by the dwarves this underground kingdom was initialy an Elven outpost of king Durin from the very first days of man during the wars against melkor (the first fallen angel).


The door is to Moria..








The welsh word for door is -drws- and seems to be connected to the original high gaelic ogham word for druid. Leading on from that the word for water is -dwr- the only difference is one letter... and that carries with it a whole load of connations.....

here's just one.....










The High elves and wood elves of middle earth are so similar in ambience and resonance (at least in my mind) to the ancient priesthoods of pre-diluvian times that it seems to me tolkien was showing us something very interesting- namely that the true essence of ritual and symbology of ascensional masonry came from the --true-- aria/arya , the green men , the shamans , bards and monument builders. Also he seems to show that this knowledge and practise was pushed through the jewish mystery schools and that their sacred tree came from somewhere in particular






Papal Keys - Temporal & Spiritual Power.









The Papal keys representing Janus and Cybele! The Papal Keys of Spiritual Power and TEMPORAL POWER. The Pope rules the World under his Temporal Power which has been enforced by the Society of Jesus since 1534. Swine Flu: New Pandemic or Just Makin' Bacon?

So predictable, within the context of smallpox, anthrax, SARS, avian flu. As predicted 4 months ago in new 13th ed. of the vaccine book, we knew the next orchestrated health crisis was coming [4] - we just didn't know what it would be called. Disappointing really that they lacked the imagination to come up with a brand new global panic; so all we get is a re-run of the 1970s swine flu fiasco.

Unlike the hysterical media, let's define our terms first, instead of just assuming everyone knows historically what swine flu really is.

HISTORY OF SWINE FLU



Back in 1975 a soldier at Fort Ord CA died in a training exercise on a very hot day. A very mild virus that came to be known as swine flu virus was found in his body, though never proven to be the cause of death. Just as probable he died of overexertion, since it was a very hot day and they were on a training exercise. The virus was a member of the H1N1 virus family reportedly found in hogs, which had not previously been transmitted to humans. So nothing was known of its virulence or its ability to cause even a local outbreak, let alone a global epidemic. There was no evidence that it could be a serious disease for humans. [3]

Notwithstanding those facts, the National Institutes of Health [NIH] took up the case, and massive media coverage hawking the beginning of a global pandemic was conjured up out of nothing. Even though there were no further cases, during the next several months a swine flu vaccine was quickly created. The vaccine was never tested in any large setting. Abundant data were available however documenting the dangers and unpredictability of this untested new vaccine. Little wonder: the new vaccine wasn't even made from the original mild swine flu pathogen.

Because they were under the gun in trying to get the vaccine out ASAP, the vaccine makers merged the natural H1N1 swine flu virus with an extremely virulent manmade strain in order to make the vaccine more reactive in people. [3] Though the dangers of the powerful new vaccine were well known, the next sequence of events showed how human health is always subordinate to the agendas of political immunology.

Now it just so happened that in July 1976, by an unfortunate coincidence some 221 people in a Philadelphia hotel came down with a mysterious disease that was immediately dubbed Legionnaires Disease. 34 of them eventually died with the cause of death unknown. As luck would have it, this was right at the same time that NIH had just decided not to go through with recommending the swine flu vaccine for everyone.

These two unrelated events became tied together in the game of political immunology. Here's how it happened:

At first Congress would not approve the mass swine flu program because the vaccine manufacturers said they wouldn't accept responsibility for any people damaged by the new vaccine. So the NIH had decided to shelve the swine flu program. [3]

But meanwhile the media behind Legionnaires Disease became more and more intense day by day, eerily similar to what is going on today. There was a growing suspicion, based on nothing and fostered by the shrill and irresponsible media, that Legionnaires Disease might actually be swine flu. The policymakers were under intense political pressure to "do something." So in a few midnight sit-downs during a four day period, three things suddenly were hastily decided:

1. The Legionnaires Disease cases were definitely not swine flu

2. Congress decided the government would accept responsibility for any deaths or damages from a swine flu vaccine program

3. The next day the mass swine flu vaccine program was adopted.



Everybody was happy with this solution: no more worry about the possibility of 2 epidemics everyone would be protected from swine flu by the vaccine the vaccine manufacturers got to make several million dollars the FDA and NIH had once again saved the American people from disaster


Unfortunately it didn't quite work out as expected: 565 of the newly vaccinated people became paralyzed from a nerve disorder called Guillain Barre syndrome, 25 of whom died. So the swine flu vaccine program was halted in just 10 weeks, after over 40 million people had received it. Their original goal had been to vaccinate the entire population. No one but that one soldier ever died, and there was no epidemic of swine flu, even though the media at the time estimated that up to 60 million Americans could become infected unless they vaccinated. [6] So get that: after the money was spent, the threat disappeared.

Eventually the government paid out almost $400 million in claims. [3]

To recap, the enormous swine flu vaccine program of 1976 - the worst vaccine disaster in US history - was set into motion before swine flu had ever been validated as a serious disease for humans, let alone proven capable of causing an epidemic.


UP TO SPEED: APRIL 2009



So what happened recently? We have conflicting reports of several hundred Mexicans 'infected' with swine flu, 150 of whom are 'believed to have' died from it. And now we're also beginning to see reports of each day more and more people in the US have come down with the illness, supposedly 70 cases, at first, then more. And then the first US deaths.

From these slim allegations, endless unsubstantiated inferences and predictions are being spun:

- A global pandemic is in the offing
- Thousands of Mexicans will die first
- Americans are dying
- A vaccine is in the wings
- Tamiflu is being ramped up to save us



WHAT DO WE REALLY KNOW?

With the track record of mainstream media during the past several years regarding panics and pandemics, there is precious little reliable information available to us. The first and most important question that must be addressed has to do with the newly reported numbers. Thousands of people get the flu each day and recover from it, and some people who are already sick may die from it. But suddenly here we have media alleging that a novel flu virus causing a brand new disease is afoot. So the only critical issue when reporting these new cases must be: were the patients cultured for the new disease?

And secondly, cultured for what?




Here is the first jumping off point - departure from reality: within just one week of the 'outbreak' the media had begun its daily tally sheet of numbers infected and numbers dead, which will establish the scorecard pattern we're so familiar with in tracking any disaster. What are they counting? There is no screening test for the disease!

No culture protocols, no titer amounts, no incubation periods set,

and what is most important, no specific pathogen has been identified. Without a specific pathogen, there is no epidemic.

H1N1 is a family of viruses, dozens of viruses. So the national media is stating all these numbers of cases of the disease when there is no verifiable method for specifically identifying the disease. The cases are being diagnosed by symptoms. This is precisely what happened with the nonexistent Avian flu of 4 years ago. [5] If we're diagnosing by symptoms only, then any case of any flu can be counted. And that's exactly what is happening here.

Did anyone think it rather odd that the first cases of swine flu were coming from Third World areas of Mexico where even basic medical services are often lacking, let alone a sophisticated screening test for a brand new disease, a procedure which would take months to create, even in the most modern of clinical settings? So once again we ask, without a screening procedure, what are they counting, in Mexico, in Texas, wherever? And exactly what distinguishes these new cases that are being hourly hawked by every single media service in the known world, what sets these cases apart from ordinary flu cases?

The other question no one is asking is this: what was the incidence of flu in these Mexican towns the same time last year? How about last month? Do you see - without a very specific viral screening test, the numbers mean nothing, except as fuel to the media fire.

So going just this far, it doesn't take much reasoning to grasp that we're being set up here. Unfortunately this is much farther than the majority of the unlettered public will question it.

But we're just getting started with the inconsistencies. What about the pathogen itself?

H1N1 - A FAMILY OF VIRUSES


Let's start at the beginning. In classical pathology, influenza is a disease that is associated with a family of viruses known as orthomyxoviruses. Within this group we have Influenza A, Influenza B, and Influenza C viruses. What separates viruses into these 3 groups is the type of antigen present in the virus. [7]

Now, within the Influenza A category is a smaller grouping called the H1N1 viruses. There are dozens and dozens of strains of H1N1. The CDC has tested over 50 different strains of H1N1. [9]

Let's just stop there. For an infectious disease to be identified and characterized, it must be proven to be caused by a specific single pathogen. The original 1976 swine flu vaccine contained 2 viral strains, one of which was the pathogen that had supposedly been identified as the cause of swine flu.

Now in the recent 2009 outbreak, they just realized in the first week that they shot themselves in the foot by calling it swine flu. Since there was no epidemic in 1976, and since obviously no pathogen was ever correctly identified, in light of the ensuing vaccine debacle, it's quite clear that swine flu never existed.

So, irrespective of the pig farmers, that's why Obama found himself in the absurd position of trying to change the name to H1N1 - it was a marketing mistake to associate the new disease with that past swine flu disease, which proved to be nonexistent. By admitting the virus has never been isolated in a pig, they just confessed to the fundamental error of the 1976 vaccine program: that there was no such thing as swine flu.

So where does that leave us? To call the new disease H1N1 flu is also meaningless, for 2 reasons

- the original Mexican cases were not cultured

- there are dozens of strains of H1N1


So what are all these people coming down with and dying from? Simple: the flu! There is no proof otherwise of any novel pathogen, H1N1 or whatever, introducing any new disease. It's all allegation, conjecture, smoke and mirrors, and marketing. The new cases have nothing in common except diagnosis - and that's being done by symptoms, not by testing.

SAME OLD GERM THEORY



Until we do a little reading and finally come to grips with the unreliability of the Germ Theory as a tenable scientific premise for disease processes, we will continue to be misled by whatever new media-conceived threats come down the pike. Germs don't cause disease. Sick people with chronically toxic internal milieu provide hospitable environments for disease processes to gain a foothold, some of which culturing situations may then involve propagation of pathogenic microbes, true.

But that's a far cry from the simplistic popular version that we were perfectly healthy until this pig virus came along out of nowhere and made us sick by taking over our normal immune systems, and killed us. That just doesn't happen.

What happened to SARS? Where is it? What happened to anthrax, smallpox, Avian flu, mad cow--- they're gone. And they won't be back. They served their purpose - terrorize and distract - spend billions for new research, new pharmaceuticals, unproven and ultimately unnecessary. Afterwards the threats always vanish, like the dew off the new grass in the morning sun --- gone. And that's what will happen with this new swine flu, in a very short time.

With SARS we had coronavirus. With Avian flu we had H5N1 virus. Now with swine flu we have H1N1 virus. For a thorough discussion of indefensibility of germs as the cause of SARS and Avian flu, see [4].



THE TWO MARKET SOLUTIONS: VACCINES AND DRUGS


In the same pattern as SARS, Avian flu, and smallpox, the current media hysteria hyping swine flu has two very obvious goals: selling vaccines and drugs. All exaggeration, misdirection, hyperbole, inaccuracy, inflammatory rhetoric, dire predictions seen in today's communications are representing that the current biological threat can only be defended against by the mass administration of vaccines and drugs.

First, vaccines.

For any new vaccine to be formulated, tested as safe and effective, and approved would take at least a year, usually more. So the immediate references to vaccines as our only salvation, within the first week of the new 'crisis' would indicate that the FDA is considering using the old swine flu vaccines, that have been stockpiled since the mid 70s. Maybe they'll tweak them a little for re-packaging as new and improved, but for now it's all we have. The New York Times was talking about a vaccine 'within a month.' The only possibility of a solution that quick would be to re-deploy the stockpiled swine flu vaccine from the worst vaccine disaster in US history in 1976, as detailed above. Given the virulence and toxicity of that concoction makes one wonder how even the US media could make that turkey fly.



The likelihood of re-using old vaccine stockpiles has a precedent. CDC tried the same tack in 2001 with the post 9/11 smallpox vaccine hoax. They trotted out old smallpox vaccine stockpiles that had been on the shelves since 1971 and prepared to re-deploy them into the population to protect Americans from the imaginary post 9/11 smallpox threat. Of course they cancelled the program as soon as the money was spent, and mercifully we were spared those vaccines.

It's a preposterous claim to even be suggesting we could come up with a vaccine for mass administration in such a short period of time as a month. Precipitous action driven by politics instead of science is exactly what led to the 1976 disaster. Are we willing to reprise that catastrophe?

One other course might be to try and tweak a current flu vaccine and claim that it would be effective for the current epidemic. This type of marketing would face the challenge of disguising how ineffective yearly flu shots have always been. In the past 20 years, flu shots have had no effect either on the numbers of people getting the flu, nor on the number of people supposedly dying from influenza. [4] On the CDC website, during the past decade the magic figure of 36,000 deaths annually from influenza in the US has never changed. [8]



PLAN B: TAMIFLU AND THE MYTH OF THE ANTIVIRALS

In the chapter on Avian Flu at Doctor Within we looked closely at the 'antiviral' drug Tamiflu, which was marketed as the cure of the nonexistent Avian flu scare a few years ago.

It will save time to review some ideas from that chapter, since the selfsame falsehoods are being used to sell swine flu today.

In 1996 two drug giants - Hoffman LaRoche and Gilead Sciences made an agreement. Gilead had invented a new type of flu drugs called neuraminidase inhibitors, which included Tamiflu.

The deal was that LaRoche could research and market the drug worldwide, and Gilead would be paid residuals.

From 1997 until the time he was sworn in as Secretary of Defense in 2001, Chairman of the Board of Gilead Sciences was Donald Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld continues to receive stock and benefits from Gilead, and is a major shareholder.

How did the financial future of Gilead appear, with sales of Tamiflu? Best estimates were between $1 - 1.8 billion. And that's just for the US market. Such a figure would double Gilead's total income for 2004. Just for one drug.

Taking the global market into consideration, sales revenue from Tamiflu is virtually "unlimited."

In the Avian flu hoax of 2005, the US Senate approved $3.9 billion for Tamiflu purchase with virtually no discussion.

From a WHO FAQ sheet:

"At present manufacturing capacity, which has recently quadrupled, it will take a decade to produce enough oseltamivir to treat 20% of the world's population."

Oseltamivir - that's Tamiflu.

Keep asking yourself: who would benefit from the threat of pandemic?


ALEXANDER FLEMING: VOICE FROM THE GRAVE


Drugs that kill viruses have been the Holy Grail of modern medicine every since Fleming's invention of penicillin in the mid 1940s. Penicillin initially saved so many lives because for the first time we had a drug that could kill a broad spectrum of bacteria in the human body. But for all these years since, they could never pull the virus rabbit out of the same hat. No matter what the boys in PR name their drugs, there have never been drugs that take care of viruses the way antibiotics originally could kill bacteria. [15]

And that's always been the problem with colds and flu. Most of them are viral, as everyone knows. Antibiotics don't work with flu. If you take antibiotics every time you get the flu, you are building your body's resistance to antibiotics. So if you ever have a life-threatening infection, they won't work. Fleming warned us this would be the result of irresponsible cavalier overprescription, but we didn't listen.

So is there really such a thing as a drug that kills viruses? Can Tamiflu really do what they claim it does?



PROBLEMS WITH TAMIFLU

Tamiflu was approved by the FDA on 20 Nov 2000. [16] The manufacturer made extravagant claims about its effectiveness from the outset:

"The results of several clinical studies show that Tamiflu is up to 92% effective in preventing influenza illness in adolescents, adults and the elderly when taken once daily." [16]

Gilead also claims that Tamiflu

"is the first antiviral pill, effective against all common strains of flu, that can safely protect people who are in close contact with someone who has the flu."

No actual studies are cited by the manufacturer proving these claims.


SCIENCE VS PROMO

Much of what appears on Gilead's website about Tamiflu is the work of Gilead's PR department. To find out what the actual scientists say about Tamiflu, we have to look at the Physician's Desk Reference, the technical bible of the drug industry.

From that source we find a little different story. We find that the supposed action of Tamiflu is that it is assumed to prevent flu viruses from collecting on cells by specifically inhibiting a certain enzyme that helps viruses to bind to cells. The enzyme is called a neuraminidase. [17] The first problem is that they don't know for sure if that is the action of the drug, and always refer to it as the "proposed" mechanism of activity. But more pertinently, the scientists state that even though this seems to be how the drug works in culture,

"the relationship between the activity in a culture and the inhibition of influenza virus replications in humans has not been established." (p2927)

In other words the scientists who formulated Tamiflu are stating that they don't know whether or not it even works in humans! And this is the drug that all of American media is hawking to the skies as the savior that will save us from the plague of swine flu.


NO DRUG CAN MUTATE

Even if Tamiflu could inhibit virus proliferation in humans, it wouldn't work for very long in our entire population. Why not? Mutation. Influenza viruses are one of the fastest mutating of all known human viruses, mutating several times in one flu season, not just in a given locale, but even within the same person. At any one time across the country there are literally hundreds of strains of influenza in people. And this is precisely why flu shots have never worked and have had virtually no effect on the incidence of flu in this country for the past several years. [4]

With Tamiflu, again, the scientists readily admit that

"Insufficient information is available to fully characterize the risk of emergence of Tamiflu resistance in clinical use".

Resistance means tolerance, or the ability of viruses to mutate so as to be unaffected by the drug. We see this same exact phenomenon every year with the creation of many new infections of which people die, because the organisms become completely resistant to all known antibiotics. This is the result predicted by Alexander Fleming.


TAMIFLU NO GOOD AFTER 2 DAYS



Another limitation of Tamiflu is the short window of opportunity for its claimed effectiveness. Again from the 2005 PDR:

"Tamiflu is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated influenza infection in patients 1 year and older who have been symptomatic for no more than 2 days." [17]

For no more than 2 days. In other words, the manufacturers are saying Tamiflu doesn't work if the patient has had the flu for more than 2 days. Never saw that in Newsweek, did you?

Reading on, the manufacturer is not claiming that Tamiflu can help any patients who were already sick when they got the flu. (p 2928) They further state that they don't know if multiple courses of Tamiflu are safe, because they never tested for more than one course.



NO TAMIFLU FOR PREGNANCY



The manufacturers then state they cannot guarantee safety for the fetus if a pregnant woman takes Tamiflu. [17] Therefore they don't recommend Tamiflu for pregnancy. See that one in the paper?

Side effects of Tamiflu? Here's what the PDR lists:

rash
swelling of face
epidermal necrolysis (skin death)
hepatitis
cardiac arrhythmia
aggravation of diabetes
seizures ([17] p 2929)

All that seems pretty risky for a drug that has never been proven to work in humans.



TAMIFLU: LITTLE HOPE FOR SWINE FLU

Remember now, Tamiflu has been around since 2000. The above facts from the most current science known about Tamiflu shows the progress that has been made with this drug after several years: precious little. Tamiflu had no effect on ordinary flu incidence during the past 9 years. Why is it now suddenly being glorified as the Magic Bullet for the 'new pandemic'?

The CDC has tested more than 50 strains of H1N1 and found that 98% of them are resistant to Tamiflu! [9]



COST OF VACCINES FOR SMALLPOX, SARS AND AVIAN FLU?



The Bush administration has funded a Swiss drug company, Sanofi Pasteur, $100 million to develop a vaccine for Avian flu. [18]

Bush made it clear that there was plenty more where that $100 mil came from when he announced that $7.1 billion was being allocated to combat avian flu with drugs and vaccines. [20]

Director of HHS, Mike Leavitt, parroted his predecessor Tommy Thompson almost verbatim when he said:

"we need to have the capacity to produce 300 million courses of a vaccine for any strain of a pandemic flu." [20] 1 Nov 05

Those were Tommy Thompson's same words exactly three years before, but he was talking about smallpox vaccine for the pandemic du jour. And after 2 years of hysteria and $3 billion we all know what happened to that program. [21] [22] It was scrapped before the vaccine manufacturers even met their production quotas. We'll never hear about smallpox again.

With SARS, it was slightly more money: $40 billion, with 800 deaths alleged worldwide. [20] Just like today, almost all the deaths were diagnosed by symptoms only. No lab tests.

With the new swine flu Obama fell right in line with his predecessors, letting everyone know that he would not be counted as a laggard in the game of political immunology: in the first week he was pledging $150 billion for a disease that had not yet been proven to exist.

THE DISAPPEARING THREAT OF SWINE FLU


There are literally hundreds of strains of influenza virus present at any given time across the US. These viruses have the ability to mutate very quickly, which explains why the flu vaccine has never been effective, since everyone gets the same vaccine. But here with swine flu, they're referring presumably to a version of the 1976 virus which had supposedly crossed the species barrier from pigs to humans and killed the one soldier.

That single incident then occasioned a sequence of political events mandating the release of a dangerous and untested vaccine that killed 21 people and paralyzed another 565. But the primary issue in all this that no ever mentions is that after the vaccine was cancelled, the disease disappeared. The imaginary epidemic never happened.

In the 13th edition of The Sanctity of Human Blood we refer to this phenomenon as The Case of the Disappearing Threat. It happened the same way every time, with anthrax, SARS, smallpox, and avian flu:

A disease is named
Mass hysteria is created: global threat
The disease is loosely correlated with a microbe
With insufficient testing, a vaccine and drug are ordered, costing billion$
Soon after, the treat disappears and is never heard from again
That's exactly what will happen with swine flu. It has to: it's a tried and true pattern perfected by the dictates of


POLITICAL IMMUNOLOGY



Before we get completely sick of swine flu media bytes, and automatically switch off any channel talking about it, we should notice the political pattern occasioned by an event this compelling. Look at the omniscient and confident way each government official speaks about this unproven new disease they know nothing about. Each government office who doesn't come out and support the daily version of the Prevailing Myth fears that they may be accused of not doing their job. So no one has the wherewithal to state the obvious: we really don't know what's causing the phenomenon, and we don't have the situation under control and it's unlikely that Tamiflu and a new swine flu vaccine will solve the problem, given their lack of success in the past, on every single occasion. So it's just about TV theatre: all form, no substance. And each official will repeat the same bland platitudes with the same conviction, and billions will be spent and soon the 'epidemic' will fade without most people knowing it was never here at all.

So then what are all these people dying of then, you might ask?

Until some legitimate science steps up, the answer is: it's just plain old flu.



SO WHAT'S THE SOLUTION?



With no swine flu and no epidemic, the solution is stop watching the nonsense coming out of your TV, stop reading internet stories and stop reading newspaper and magazine articles about swine flu. Be assured it will be over in a few weeks, just as soon as all the money for the vaccine and the antiviral drugs gets spent. Live your life; with all the real problems we have today, we don't need any imaginary ones.

Swine flu or H1N1 or whatever they decide to call it next week will soon be fading off into the boneyard of plague hysteria memorabilia, along with smallpox, anthrax, SARS and Avian flu. The sales team did a phenomenal job, getting maximum mileage out of the ol' global pandemic spectre by applying the term to regular flu. We must applaud genius, and learn to recognize it. This certainly won't be the last faux pandemic - there's an inexhaustible supply.

The most important lesson we can learn from this experience is how difficult it is to get verifiable information about important health issues. The irresponsible media has proven once again beyond a doubt whose agenda they represent. Vaccines are a serious decision for everyone. To get sound information from scientific sources not dependent on drug companies requires some amount of diligence. The new 13th ed. of the vaccine book [4] offers many such resources. This is the only way we can make a truly informed decision on such an important issue as what medicines and drugs we will allow into the bloodstream of our children.

The vaccine industry seems to be trying to imitate the music industry these days. Within our devolving species, as people's brains become more and more saturated with hydrogenateds, they become easier to fool. Today any loud noise is music, in media any loud story is true, and with vaccines, any vaccine is scientific and effective. It doesn't matter that it's impossible to create immunity with a vaccine that is choosing 2 or 3 strains from hundreds, and pretending to confer specific immunity. It doesn't matter that the disease the vaccine is for has never been shown to actually exist. The media says it exists and that the vaccine will work -- that's as discriminating as the American public gets. They've lost the ability for abstract thought, rational discourse, and they don't read.

At the end of the new vaccine text, 13th ed., there's a section titled Social Darwinism. Here's the idea: if it really is true that all today's vaccines are collectively immunosuppressive, then the children with the greatest chance of longterm survival and replication will be the unvaccinated. The others are more likely to be selected out:

The human species is subject to the same laws of natural selection as all other life on the earth. Those with the weakest immune systems drop out. The immuno-suppressive effect of the immense viral load being continually forced onto the young through vaccines over long periods of time will cause their line to have the least chance of survival. It will dilute the DNA of their progeny forever. In the US during the past 50 years, where the vaccine load has been increased by more than 2500%, look at what is already clearly observable in the health and intelligence of our children during that time. Play that pattern forward another 50 years, 100, 200.

Nature will always take its course. ...The uneducated, and the militantly uneducated will always, always vaccinate their children. And thereby over time may be selected out of the species. It's neither good nor bad: just simple genetics.

Apocalyptically speaking, this may well be the best we can hope for by way of a silver lining, in the dark and murky world of vaccines we have conjured up today." [4]

Today we as parents were all given a letter to state that "a parent had recently come into contact with Swine Flu, and has had treatment" even though it was only SUSPECTED!

And that's exactly what is happening here."



They also stated they have no need to close the school nor worry, and children were free to carry on as usual. This to me, is a load of crap. I don't believe it is true, and between you and me, at school when things like this happen the gossip is everywhere within half a day.

Yet surprisingly no-one heard a thing.

And there is nothing more devastating to a structure of lies than the revelation of the truth upon which the structure of lies was built, because the shock waves of the revelation of the truth reverberate, and continue to reverberate throughout the Earth for generations to follow, awakening even those people who had no desire to be awakened to the truth.” (by Delamar Duvaris as written in the preface of “Behold the Pale Horse” by William Cooper).



The basic truth that served as the foundation for the mountain of lies known as vaccinations was the observation that mammals which recover from infection with microorganisms acquire natural immunity from further infections. Whenever cytotoxic T cells (the little Pac man cells which devour and neutralize viruses, bacteria, and cancer cells, thus conferring cellular immunity and are also responsible for allograft rejection) and B cells (antibody producing cells which confer humoral immunity by circulating in the body’s fluids or “humors”, primarily serum or lymph) are activated by various substances foreign to the body called antigens, some of the T and B cells become memory cells. Thus, the next time the individual meets up with that same antigen, the immune system can be quickly triggered to demolish it. This is the process known as natural immunity.




This truth gave birth to a beLIEf that if a foreign antigen was injected into an individual, that individual would then become immune to a future infection. This beLIEf, (you see the lie in the middle), was given the name, “vaccinations”. What the promoters of vaccination failed to realize is that secretory IgA (an antibody found predominately in saliva and secretions of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tract mucosa) is the initial normal antibody response to all airborne and ingested pathogens. IgA helps protect against viral infection, agglutinate bacteria, neutralize microbial toxins, and decrease attachment of pathogens to mucosal surfaces. What this author has realized is that bypassing this mucosal aspect of the immune system by directly injecting organisms into the body leads to a corruption in the immune system itself whereby IgA is transmuted into IgE, and/or the B cells are hyperactivated to produce pathologic amounts of self-attacking antibody as well as suppression of cytotoxic T cells (as explained shortly). As a result, the pathogenic viruses or bacteria cannot be eliminated by the immune system and remain in the body, where they cause chronic disease and thus further grow and/or mutate as the individual is exposed to ever more antigens and toxins in the environment. This is especially true with pathogens grouped under the term “stealth adapted” . These are formed when vaccine viruses combine with viruses from tissues used to culture them, or when bacteria lose their cell walls when a person takes antibiotics and transform into “L forms”, leading to a lack of some critical antigens normally recognized by the cellular immune system. Another example is stealth adapted (mutated) cytomegaloviruses which arose from African green monkey (simian) kidney cells when they were used to culture polio virus for live polio virus vaccines. Thus, not only was the vaccinee inoculated with polio, but with the cytomegalovirus as well.




The mechanism by which the immune system is corrupted can best be realized when you understand that the two poles of the immune system (the cellular and humoral mechanisms) have a reciprocal relationship in that when the activity of one pole is increased, the other must decrease. Thus, when one is stimulated, the other is inhibited. Since vaccines activate the B cells to secrete antibody, the cytotoxic (killer) T cells are subsequently suppressed. (In fact, progressive vaccinia (following vaccination with smallpox) occurs in the presence of high titers of circulating antibody to the virus1 combined with suppressed cytotoxic T cells, leading to spreading of lesions all over the body). This suppression of the cell mediated response is thus a key factor in the development of cancer and life threatening infections. In fact, the “prevention” of a disease via vaccination is, in reality, an inability to expel organisms due to the suppression of the cell-mediated response. Thus, rather than preventing disease, the disease is actually prevented from ever being resolved. 



The organisms continue circulating through the body, adapting to the hostile environment by transforming into other organisms depending on acidity, toxicity and other changes to the internal terrain of the body as demonstrated by the works of Professor Antoine Béchamp. He established this prior to the development of the “germ theory” of disease by Louis Pasteur. Pasteur’s “germ theory” was a plagiarist’s attempt to reshape the truth from Béchamp into his own “original” premise – the beLIEf that germs are out to “attack” us, thereby causing dis-ease. Thus, treatment of infection with antibiotics as well as “prevention” of disease with vaccines are both just corrupted attempts at cutting off the branches of dis-ease, when the root of the cause is a toxic internal environment combined with nutritional deficiency. However, since Pasteur’s germ theory was conducive to the profits of the burgeoning pharmaceutical cartels that only manage dis-ease, no mention of the work of Professor Béchamp is made in medical school curricula.




To make matters worse than the suppression of cellular immunity which occurs when vaccines are injected, adjuvants (which are substances added to vaccines to enhance the antibody response) can actually lead to serious side effects themselves. Adjuvants include oil emulsions, mineral compounds (which may contain the toxic metal aluminum), bacterial products, liposomes (which allow delayed release of substances), and squalene. The side effects of adjuvants themselves include hyperactivity of B cells leading to pathologic2 levels of antibody production, as well as allergic reaction to the adjuvants themselves (as demonstrated in Gulf War I soldiers injected with vaccines containing the adjuvant squalene, to which antibodies were found in many soldiers). Note that the pathologically elevated hyperactivity of antibody production caused by adjuvants also results in a distraction from the other antigens that the immune system encounters “naturally”, which must be addressed to maintain health.




This author realized years ago that inoculations caused the transformation of IgA into IgE; however, thanks to researcher Patrick Jordan finding the NATO Life Sciences book entitled “Immunological Adjuvants and Vaccines” (6), it has now been revealed that it is the aluminum which is put into vaccines as an adjuvant which causes production of IgE…the antibody of allergy and anaphylactic shock. This shocking admission comes in this book after the statement on page 6 that aluminum “was introduced in 1926, before strict control by regulatory authorities was practiced; whether it would be allowed by regulatory authorities today is far from certain”.




On page 37 of this NATO book, it states that studies demonstrate that “aluminum causes stimulation of the production of anaphylactic antibody (IgE) in the mouse”, and that “the effect of aluminum on the IgE response in humans does not appear to have been investigated”. This is just like the statement in the package insert of all vaccines (including the Gardasil vaccine which alleges it protects against cervical cancer) that “no studies have been done to evaluate for the potential to cause carcinogenicity or genotoxicity”. However, these experiments are being carried out in children every time they are inoculated with disease…and the skyrocketing allergies, anaphylactic reactions and cancer make it self evident that the inoculations are behind it all. Thanks to the book, I now have the evidence that IgE production is due to vaccines, as well as the fact that these mad scientists know exactly what they are doing. If this is not evidence of crimes against humanity, what is?




Additionally, the overall hyperactivity of the humoral (antibody producing) pole of the immune system is, in this author’s opinion, the sole cause of all autoimmune diseases; where the auto-antibodies produced activate functioning T cells to then attack self; and both the activated B & T cells also produce cytokines (which further enhance inflammation and immunological involvement). The only thing which determines which autoimmune disease you develop is which tissues in your body are attacked by auto-antibodies3. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FINDING HAS NOW BEEN CONFIRMED BY DR. JEFFREY BROWNING SENIOR DIRECTOR, DEPARTMENT OF IMMUNOBIOLOGY, BIOGEN-IDEC, IN HIS SCIENTIFIC PAPER ENTITLED “B CELLS MOVE TO CENTRE STAGE: NOVEL OPPORTUNITIES FOR AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE TREATMENT” PUBLISHED IN NATURE REVIEWS DRUG DISCOVERY 5, 564-576 (JULY 2006) ; AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET AT: www.nature.com/nrd/journal/v5/n7/full/nrd2085.html..




Although Dr. Browning’s research is intended to stimulate the pharma cartels to produce drugs to modulate B cell function in autoimmune disease; this document makes it SELF EVIDENT that the way to stop autoimmune disease from developing in the first place is to stop inoculating people and pets with disease, which is what causes the corruption of the immune system leading to autoimmune disease in the first place! Dr. Browning’s article discusses many of the following autoimmune diseases; in fact, he proves that even “neuropsychiatric disorders” can be produced by autoantibodies to N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors; thus explaining why even clients with “mental disease” respond to the Hippocrates protocol developed by Dr. Carley to detoxify vaccine viruses (and other toxins) using homeopathic nosodes!

Thus, the autoimmune disease you develop is determined by which tissues in the body are attacked by auto antibodies. If the inside lining of the gastrointestinal tract (the mucosa) is attacked by auto-antibodies you develop leaky gut syndrome (which leads to food allergies when partially digested food particles are released into the bloodstream, are recognized as antigens foreign to the body, and elicit an antibody response against those food particles that becomes heightened every time that same food is eaten and released into the bloodstream partially digested again). Crohn’s disease and colitis are also caused by auto-antibody attack on the mucosa of the GI tract itself. 




If the islet (insulin producing) cells of the pancreas are attacked by auto-antibodies, you develop insulin dependent (juvenile) diabetes. If the respiratory mucosa is attacked by auto-antibodies, you develop “leaky lung” syndrome where, just as with leaky gut, antigens recognized as foreign to the body which are inhaled are able to traverse the lining of the respiratory tract, causing the creation of antibodies against those antigens (usually dust, mold, pet or pollen antigens). When these substances are inhaled again, IgE (the pathologic form of IgA created after corruption of the immune system due to inoculation rather than inhalation of disease) acts as a reagin4 and sensitizes mast and basophil cells, causing release of their histamine and slow reacting substance granules on contact with the allergen to produce constriction of the bronchioles leading to asthma. This process is also responsible for the immediate hypersensitivity reaction known as anaphylaxis, which is a potential side effect noted in the Physician’s Desk Reference for every vaccine; as well as the wheal and flare reaction of the skin known as hives. 




If the components of the articular surface of the joints are attacked by auto-antibodies, you develop rheumatoid (or juvenile) arthritis. If the skin is compromised on a chronic basis, you develop “leaky skin” syndrome, where contact antigens which could not otherwise traverse the skin lead to skin allergies to contact antigens (a delayed hypersensitivity reaction where inflammation occurs due to release of soluble factors). Additionally, depending on which level of the skin is attacked by auto-antibodies, (i.e., the epidermis or dermis), you develop eczema, psoriasis or scleroderma. If the kidney tissue is attacked by auto-antibodies, you develop one of the many types of nephritis, depending on which component of renal tissue is attacked (for example, with glomerulonephritis, the basement membrane of the glomerular apparatus within the kidney (which filters blood to form urine) is attacked by auto-antibodies, thus allowing protein to escape from the serum into the urine). If you develop auto-antibodies against thyroid gland tissue, you develop Grave’s disease. If you develop auto-antibodies against the tissue of the thymus gland (which is crucial in T cell production and function), you develop myasthenia gravis. If you develop auto-antibodies against the very DNA in the nucleus of all cells, you develop systemic Lupus (thus, the autoimmune potential of DNA vaccines being developed now is self evident; worse yet, DNA components from these vaccines can be incorporated into your DNA, leading to actual genetic changes which could cause extinction of all (vaccinated) life on the Earth, as will be discussed shortly). And on, and on, and on.

The brain and spinal cord can also be attacked with auto-antibodies (which this author refers to as vaccine induced encephalitis), leading to a variety of neurological diseases. The most severe of these, leading to death, are sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and most cases of “shaken baby syndrome” . If components of the myelin sheath (the insulating covering of nerve fibers which allows proper nerve conduction) or the actual neurofilaments themselves are attacked by auto-antibodies, the resultant condition is determined solely by the location of the damage done. Such neurological conditions include but are not limited to minimal brain dysfunction, ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, mental retardation, criminal behavior, the spectrum of pervasive developmental disorders (including autism), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease, Guillen Barre’, seizure disorders, etc., etc. etc. (Please note that other factors are also sometimes involved, such as: the spirochete which causes Lymes disease, aspartame and mercury in cases of MS; aspartame in seizures; or pesticides in cases of Parkinson’s). 



Thus, when detoxing to reverse these diseases, these other substances must also be removed to obtain a full recovery. However, the corruption of the immune system caused by the injection of vaccines is a key component in these disease states leading to immune malfunction, and is the reason why an autistic child may also have leaky gut or eczema, etc. Note that myelin production, for the most part, does not begin until after birth. Most myelin is apparently laid down by age 5 years and usually completed by age 10 years, judging by the level of success at various ages in reversing autistic and other neurological VIDS symptoms that this author has observed in hundreds of children by detoxing the viruses with homeopathic nosodes5, and repairing the immune corruption by simultaneous administration of bovine colostrum (i.e., after 10 years of age, the ability to stop and repair auto-antibody induced damage in the myelin sheath and neurofilaments themselves is dramatically decreased).



In summary, the hyperactivity of the humoral arm of the immune system in autoimmune disease is caused by adjuvants added just for that purpose. However, the damage caused by the autoimmunity itself (i.e., antibody against self) has several mechanisms, including the following:




1. The antigens present in the culture media itself cannot be completely filtered and separated from the organisms cultured thereon. Thus, any antibodies formed against antigens from the culture cells themselves (for example myelin basic protein from chick embryos or the 13 vaccines which now contain aborted human fetal cells) can cross-react to form an autoimmune reaction against the myelin basic protein in your myelin sheath, etc. See the package insert from Pfizer’s Rabies vaccine from the “10th Edition of the Compendium of Veterinary Products” published in 2007 posted on www.drcarley.com, which states “tissue origin vaccines contain extraneous protein in addition to the [rabies] antigen that can lead to autoimmune disease”. THIS IS TRUE FOR ALL VACCINES, BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN IT ADMITTED BY ANY VACCINE MANUFACTURER.




2. Molecular mimicry is due to similarity of proteins contained in organisms and mammals. (For example, the measles virus is made up of proteins similar to myelin basic protein; thus, antibodies formed against the measles virus antigens subsequently also cause an auto-antibody attack against myelin basic protein in the myelin sheath due to cross reactivity of these antibodies).

3. Formation of immune complexes occur as antigens and antibodies interlock into clusters which can then become trapped in various tissues, especially the kidneys, lung, skin, joints, or blood vessels. Once trapped, these complexes then set off an inflammatory reaction which lead to further tissue damage.



4. Intentional inclusion of antigens in vaccines to cause formation of antibodies that attack specific hormones or races. It is this author’s hypothesis that the epidemic of vitiligo in people of color (hypo pigmentation of skin caused by auto-antibody attack on melanocytes7) is occurring due to intentional inclusion of melanin in vaccines given to people of color. Additionally, experiments done on women of childbearing age in the Philippines and probably other locations where HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) placed into vaccines given these women resulted in antibodies against the HCG hormone, and subsequent spontaneous abortion thus occurred when the women became pregnant. The NATO book “Immunological Adjuvants and Vaccines” also describes, in the chapter entitled “The Development and Preliminary Clinical Evaluation of an Antifertility vaccine” (6) how an antifertility vaccine has been developed incorporating HCG in a vaccine with diphtheria toxoid; and that the vaccine will soon be suitable for “large scale clinical use”. The “task force” (which involves many agencies within the World Health Organization in this chapter’s references) “is in the process of developing other fertility regulating vaccines as well”. Could the escalating problems with infertility in this country be due to women having been given this vaccine without their knowledge or consent?





Another heinous (and obviously genocidal) creation of the Anti-Hippocratics is the DNA vaccines now being developed. These vaccines contain plasmids, which are closed rings of recombinant DNA that make their way into the nucleus of a cell and instruct the cell to synthesize encoded antigenic proteins8. Thus, the very genetic makeup of the individual, plant or animal will be altered to produce a never ending supply of antigens to distract the immune system. These genetic changes will remain as cell division occurs, and will be transmissible to offspring. This is the TRUE “mark of the beast” , and could lead to extinction and/or modification (including behavioral) of any group inoculated.





In addition to the above phenomena which lead to simultaneous depression of cellular immune function and hyperactivity of humoral immune function, vaccines also contain other toxic substances which can cause serious side effects themselves. The following ingredients are actually listed on the CDC website with this introductory statement: “Many things in today’s world, including food and medicines, have chemicals added to them to prevent the growth of germs and reduce spoilage.” Translation: you’re already toxic, so what’s the big deal with adding more poison? This author’s answer to that question is that any immunotoxin can end up being the “straw that breaks the immune system’s back” in that individual, leading to dis-ease. This is where genetics is key; i.e., not that what disease you develop is actually caused by some “gene” in most cases; but rather that your genes determine the strength of your immune system (i.e., how many assaults your immune system can take before it reaches critical mass, and you develop a dis-ease).



Some additional ingredients in vaccines (as listed by the CDC on their website) include antibiotics, aluminum gels, formaldehyde, monosodium glutamate (MSG), egg protein, and sulfites. Thus, we have antibiotics (which you could be allergic to); aluminum (which when combined with dead neurons killed by mercury in vaccines as demonstrated in the video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=85tgwh3HpsM) results in the neurofibrillary tangles seen in Alzheimer’s disease); formaldehyde (a toxic carcinogenic substance used to preserve dead people); MSG ( a potent excitotoxin9 which, like aspartame, can cause seizures, brain tumors, etc.); egg protein (to which you could have a life threatening anaphylactic reaction); and sulfites (another toxin which we are advised not to consume much of orally, but in vaccines, it is injected directly into the body). Is this not a veritable witch’s brew of chemicals, organisms, and animal parts? What the CDC does NOT list is that 13 vaccines at present (and more are in the works) are actually cultured on aborted human fetal tissues (go to www.cogforlife.org for more info). THIS IS CANNIBALISM. Note in this list that they also fail to mention the ethyl-mercury containing preservative thimerosol, which has been the only dangerous substance in vaccines to receive mainstream media attention (albeit most of that being disinformation) after the explosion in the rate of occurrence of autism in the last generation became self-evident proof that vaccines are the causative factor. For, although the scientists working for the medical mafia continue to use statistics to twist and spin their data to make us beLIEve that vaccines are not the cause, too many thousands of parents have watched their children enter the downward spiral into autism after their children received the vaccine which was the straw that broke the back of their child’s immune system. No matter what the “white coats” tell these parents, they know the truth!



Mercury (also in dental amalgam fillings) is a highly toxic heavy metal, has been documented to cause cancer, and can be absorbed through the digestive track, skin, and respiratory track. Mercury is 1,000 times more toxic than lead, and is second only to uranium as the most toxic metal. If children receive all recommended vaccines, they will receive many times the “allowable safe limit” for mercury in the first two years of life (as if there is such a thing as a “safe” amount of a toxic poison). Yet, even after Congressional hearings instigated by Congressman Dan Burton (whose own grandchild became autistic after receiving vaccines) resulted in the FDA requesting (not ordering) vaccine manufacturers to remove this toxic heavy metal from their products, mercury is still present in many vaccines.



Although the symptoms of mercury poisoning have been described as identical to the symptoms of autism, it should be noted that most children who descend into the hellish state known as autism do so after the MMR vaccine. The MMR vaccine is one of the few vaccines that do not contain mercury; in fact, it has NEVER contained mercury. Thus, it is self-evident that the removal of mercury will not make vaccines “safe”. (This is why the mercury is the only thing being addressed at all; because when the people reading this paper realize that the very mechanism by which vaccines corrupt the immune system means that NO vaccine is safe and effective; there will be an evolution of consciousness where the structure of lies telling us vaccines are safe and effective disintegrates.)



The good news is that these VIDS can be reversed using natural remedies (especially homeopathy) contained in the Hippocrates Protocol (www.drcarley.com). This “surgical strike” detoxification approach which has the potential to reverse ALL of the aforementioned conditions under the VIDS umbrella as long as detoxification is started early enough will be the one truth put on top of the mountain of lies (that vaccines are safe and effective) that will cause the entire mountain of vaccine lies to crumble. Thus, the vaccine-induced holocaust (where instead of people being put in concentration camps, the concentration camps are being put into the people) will finally be put to an end. In this author’s opinion, it will be the reversal of VIDS (especially autism) in children and reversal of Gulf War Syndrome in the vaccine damaged soldiers and vets which will stop this holocaust on humanity caused by vaccines, since the reversal of dis-ease subsequent to detoxification of the vaccines makes it self-evident that the vaccines caused the problem.



Unfortunately, we can no longer pretend that this epidemic of VIDS is merely a “mistake” made by well intentioned, albeit misguided mad scientists. Because it’s even worse than the above, folks…we are talking TREASON and CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, PETS, and even PLANTS, (which are also being genetically modified to create vaccines). The evidence for this is as follows:


As concern for population growth started to grow and the final plans to bring in the New World Order were put in place, this lie called vaccines was transformed into pure evil, as it was realized that such delivery systems could be used to intentionally cause disease, which is now being done under the US Code, Title 50, Chapter 32, § 1520 and 1524. You can read it for yourself at your local library.



This law has been in place since the 1960's, and it was last modified in April of 2000. The only stipulation made for experimentation on human subjects is that local civilian officials be notified 30 days before the experiment is started. Section 1524 adds that the Secretary of Defense may enter into agreements with the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide support for vaccination programs through use of excess peacetime biological weapons (i.e., weapons of mass destruction) . In April 2000, § 1520 (a) was passed to put alleged restrictions on the use of human subjects for testing of chemical or biological agents after a caller on C Span mentioned this law in 1999, which revealed this treasonous law to a huge audience of listeners (including this author, who has been including it in lectures and written materials since that call came into “Washington Journal”). 




However, the exceptions written to Title 50, chapter 32 under § 1520 subsection (cool.gif in the 2000 law passed by our aiders and abettors of treason in Congress not only loophole back in a test carried out for "any peaceful purpose that is related to a medical, therapeutic, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, or research activity"; but add that such biological and chemical warfare agents can now be also used for any law enforcement purpose, including "any purpose related to riot control” (just in case those C Span listeners should actually get off the couch at the horror of what the traitors in Washington, D.C. are doing to God’s people). Subsection © of this law now mandates that “informed consent” be required. In reality, not a single vaccine has ever been tested for its long term side effects (including carcinogenic potential). Additionally, the intentional introduction into vaccines of stealth viruses, (including man-made viruses that cause cancer, mycoplasma and the HIV virus), antigens which target certain races, and silicon and/or DNA chips in the future makes it self evident that informed consent is impossible, as it would initiate impeachment proceedings and war crimes trials against every “public servant” involved in perpetrating these crimes against the American people, in violation of the Nuremberg Code (which was written after the end of WW II to prevent the barbaric experiments that occurred in the Nazi concentration camps) .. 



What most people don’t know is that the top level mad scientists from Nazi Germany were actually brought to the United States after the war through “Operation Paperclip”, and have been continuing their work to this day in places like Brookhaven labs, Cold Spring Harbor and Plum Island in this author’s backyard on Long Island. In 1969 the U.S. military/CIA and Rockefeller directed National Academy of Sciences-National Research Council (NAS-NRC) announced that a research program to explore the feasibility of "creating a new infective microorganism. [HIV].which would be refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease" could be completed at a total cost of $10 million. Yes, this is what your tax dollars are going towards, folks. But hang on to your hat, because it only gets worse.



Dr. James R. Shannon, former director of the National Institute of Health reported in December, 2003 that “the only safe vaccine is one that is never used”. However, the reverberating truth, “the shot heard round the world” which will lead to the evolution of consciousness necessary to stop the holocaust against humanity known as vaccinations, will be that not only are vaccinations not safe or effective, but that they are actually weapons of mass destruction being perpetrated upon humanity in the name of health, for the purpose of genocide and to bring in the New World Order. Part 2 of the genocidal plan could drop anytime with activation of the Model State Health Emergency Powers Act whenever the next fabricated terrorist attack using biological agents occurs. The “bird flu” is apparently going to be used as an excuse to inoculate the masses soon, as predictions of a pandemic are being made by the media almost every day. Little do people know that the 1918 Flu pandemic was actually caused by inoculations given to soldiers in WW 1, as reported on p. 28 of the book Vaccination the Silent Killer by Ida Honorof & E. McBean.



The Congressional traitors in Washington posing as public “servants” are doing all they can to pass “Codex” legislation which will make the natural remedies and supplements used in the Hippocrates Protocol developed by this author to reverse all dis-eases only available by prescription. On December 9, 2004, Dr. Atkinson informed a NYS Department of Health minion that a child to whom this author had given a medical exemption from further inoculation “should be vaccinated unless he has an anaphylactic allergy to hepatitis B vaccine” as there is “no such syndrome [as VIDS]”. Yet, in a document published by the CDC on May 4, 2000 (# 99-6194) entitled “Vaccine Information Statements; What You Need to Know”, on page 9 the following is printed under the heading “The Law (Recording Patient Information and Reporting Adverse Events): 42 U.S.C. § 300aa-25. Recording and Reporting of Information, (cool.gif Reporting (2) “A report under paragraph (1) respecting a vaccine shall include the time periods after the administration of such vaccine within which vaccine-related illnesses, disabilities, injuries, or conditions the symptoms and manifestations of such illnesses, disabilities, injuries, or conditions, or DEATHS occur, and the manufacturer and lot number of the vaccine.” Thus, while Dr. Atkinson informed this author on January 8, 2005 that “having a judge in the Bronx Family Court “qualify” you as an “expert witness” neither makes you an expert, nor proves the existence of so called “vaccine induced disease syndrome”; the CDC’s own documents refer to the federal mandate for such to be reported to the secretary. Dr. Atkinson, who received a copy of the draft of this paper on 12/30/04, has not offered a single rebuttal to the mechanism whereby the mechanism of VIDS is explained in this paper. Ergo, this author hereby formally charges Dr. Atkinson and his co-conspirators in the CDC with the following counts, including but not limited to:




01.) False statements within a Government Agency, Title 18 USC § 35.1001.
02.) WAR CRIMES - crimes when death occurs, Title 18 USC § 34.
03.) Concealment, removal - Title 18 USC § 2071.
04.) Aiding and Abetting, Title 18 USC § 3.
05.) Obstruction of Justice, Title 18 USC § 1505 / USC § 2 (26).
06.) Defrauding America, Title 18, USC § 1101 (25).




If the People lead, the “leaders” will follow. SILENCE IS CONSENT. If you do nothing, before long highly trained Special Operations commandos with state of the art weaponry will be used in the U.S. to “execute quarantine and certain health laws”, including the Model State Health Emergency Powers Act passed in all states where, following another domestically perpetrated biological scare (such as the anthrax mailings to the Congress), a solution in the form of a vaccine will be offered only to those who will accept the national ID chip being injected into them. All others will be considered a danger and threat to society, hunted down, and imprisoned in concentration camps already built or be killed. Americans will welcome this solution, and turn in their neighbors or friends in order to survive themselves. If you are not part of the solution, therefore, you are part of the problem. In conclusion, the 1920 book “Horrors of Vaccination Exposed and Illustrated; Petition to the President to Abolish Compulsory Vaccination in the Army and Navy” by Charles M. Higgins, was recently found by this author, and gives the best explanation as to why the compulsory blood assault known as “vaccination” is unconstitutional and unlawful. Cell Barrier Shows Why Bird Flu Not Easily Spread Among Humans. Weaponized!

Writing in the journal Nature, a team of scientists led by UW-Madison virologist Yoshihiro Kawaoka reports differences in the receptors on cells in the lower and upper parts of the human respiratory system that avian flu viruses use to gain access to cells. Although more than 100 people have been infected with the H5N1 avian influenza virus, mostly from close contact with infected poultry, the fact that the virus does not spread easily from its pioneering human hosts to other humans has been a biomedical puzzle.

Now, a study of cells in the human respiratory tract reveals a simple anatomical difference in the cells of the system that makes it difficult for the virus to jump from human to human.

The finding, reported today in the journal Nature, is important because it demonstrates a requisite characteristic for the virus to equip itself to easily infect humans, the key development required for the virus to assume pandemic proportions.

The new report, by a research group led by University of Wisconsin-Madison virologist Yoshihiro Kawaoka, describes experiments using tissue from humans that showed that only cells deep within the respiratory system have the surface molecule or receptor that is the key that permits the avian flu virus to enter a cell.

Flu viruses, like many other types of viruses, require access to the cells of their hosts to effectively reproduce. If they cannot enter a cell, they are unable to make infectious particles that infect other cells - or other hosts.

"Our findings provide a rational explanation for why H5N1 viruses rarely infect and spread from human to human, although they can replicate efficiently in the lungs," the authors of the study write in the Nature report.

By looking at human tissues, Kawaoka's group noted that the cells in the upper portions of the respiratory system lacked the surface receptors that enable avian H5N1 virus to dock with the cell. Receptors are molecules on the surface of cells that act like a lock. A virus with a complementary binding molecule - the key - can use the surface receptor to gain access to the cell. Once inside, it can multiply and infect other cells.

"Deep in the respiratory system, (cell) receptors for avian viruses, including avian H5N1 viruses, are present," explains Kawaoka, who also holds an appointment at the University of Tokyo. "But these receptors are rare in the upper portion of the respiratory system. For the viruses to be transmitted efficiently, they have to multiply in the upper portion of the respiratory system so that they can be transmitted by coughing and sneezing."

The upshot of the new finding, says Kawaoka, a professor of pathobiological sciences at the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, is that existing strains of bird flu must undergo key genetic changes to become the type of flu pathogen most feared by biomedical scientists.

"No one knows whether the virus will evolve into a pandemic strain, but flu viruses constantly change," Kawaoka says. "Certainly, multiple mutations need to be accumulated for the H5N1 virus to become a pandemic strain."

The finding suggests that scientists and public health agencies worldwide may have more time to prepare for an eventual pandemic of avian influenza. Periodically, animal forms of influenza such as bird flu evolve to become highly contagious human pathogens.

Most scientists agree a pandemic of avian influenza will occur at some time. The worst-case scenario would be a form of influenza similar to the strain of 1918 that killed between 30 million and 50 million people globally.

The new work may also help scientists keep track of evolving strains of influenza and provide earlier warning of potential pandemics. For the H5N1 strain of flu virus to evolve to a pathogen easily transmissible from one human to another, changes need to occur in the virus' hemagglutinin surface protein - a molecule embedded in the virus membrane - to recognize human receptors, Kawaoka says.

"Mutations in the hemagglutinin for avian H5N1 viruses to recognize human receptors are needed for the virus to become a pandemic strain," Kawaoka explains.

Viruses isolated from humans infected with avian flu can thus be monitored in a way to provide more advance warning of a potential pandemic.

"Identification of H5N1 viruses with the ability to recognize human receptors would bring us one step closer to a pandemic strain," says Kawaoka. "Recognition of human receptors can serve as molecular markers for the pandemic potential of the isolates."

The new study was conducted in collaboration with Kyoko Shinya and Shinya Yamada of the University of Tokyo; Masahito Ebina of the Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer; Masao Ono of Tohoku University; and Noriyuki Kasai of the Institute for Animal Experimentation in Japan.
